Insurance: Rebecca is contracted with most major insurer’s but does NOT bill Aetna, Cigna or Humana. Payment in full is expected for these plans. Note that Medicare Part B covers Acupuncture for Chronic Low Back Pain ONLY WHEN PERFORMED BY AN MD/PA/LPN, not from a solo Licensed Acupuncturist. Some Medicare part C (Advantage) plans have supplemental benefits to see an independent Acupuncturist like myself - check your plan carefully to see if it covers Acupuncture directly from an LAc.

Note that Kaiser Self Refer, PacificSource Community Health Plan Network, Optum Physical Health (select AARP United Healthcare Medicare plans specifically), ASH and Healthnet plans only cover 60 minute new patient and 30 minute return patient visits at this time. You are welcome to book a 60 minute return patient visit if you are willing to pay an added $44 fee for a 60 minute session. Kaiser patients with a referral can still book 60 minute sessions for new and return with no added fee, PacificSource Commercial plans also cover 60 minutes with no additional fee.

It is always recommended to verify your benefits before booking an appointment by calling the Member Services number on the back of your insurance card.

Prices listed are for treatments paid in full at time of service. You can see our full fee schedule online as well as a list of current insurers anytime: http://www.allwayswell.com/pricing.html

Acupuncture

Acupuncture involves the placement of hair fine needles into acupoints on the body to adjust energy flow, increase balance, decrease inflammation and pain and improve overall health and wellness. Most of the time people don't feel the needles at all, and actually fall asleep! Ready for a trip to Aculand?

Rebecca Kitzerow (formerly Rebecca Hurwood) has been a licensed Acupuncturist since 2006. She was first exposed to Acupuncture at age 9 when her mother became very ill and Western Medicine had no answers. Chinese Medicine was the key to her mother’s recovery, and some of Rebecca’s earliest memories are the smell of the Chinese herbs in the kitchen and watching the formula’s being put together in the small shop in San Francisco’s Chinatown. After a life-long obsession with Chinese culture, a year studying in China in undergrad and her own experience with Chinese Medicine healing personal illness, Rebecca was hooked and knew that Acupuncture was the path for her. Rebecca has won 10 awards from Natural Awakenings Magazine since 2014 including Favorite TCM Provider, Favorite Women’s Health Specialist and Holistic Provider of the Year. She is working on her Japanese Acupuncture Certificate in the Kiiko Matsumoto style and blends Japanese, TCM, Foot Reflexology and Diet and Lifestyle advice into all of her treatments. Her focus is on creating lasting health and wellness and a sense of empowerment to help people be well and stay well in every way!
